Vellgoo 34 Pints Most Efficient Energy Star Dehumidifier with Drain Hose(2,500 Sq.Ft) for Home

Been using 2 in a basement nonstop since September 2023 in East Tennessee, and I’ve had zero issues. I empty them one to two times a day depending on the weather. They’re light weight and quick to empty, easy to keep clean, and the filter maintenance is easy peasy. Attaching pic of when I purchased for evidence.

I bought this unit two years ago and has been working flawless for me in my new home. It pretty much runs non stop drying everything out.

About 7 weeks ago I noticed it was defrosting a lot more and not removing as much water. Now it’s barely removing any.

I reached out to their customer service and they have been delightful in helping me do more advanced troubleshooting. Even though I’m past my warranty date they are still trying to help. This says a lot to their commitment.

I hope we are to get a resolution to my situation.

This is the 3rd I have purchased this dehumidifier for different properties. Its an absolute bulletproof unit. Set it and forget it if you use the hose draining setup.

Like the idea, it’s small doesn’t take up a lot of room, it’s quiet.. big update with a five star rating on the company, contact them with an issue without hesitation, the company response
time was immediate. I would definitely order again and again from this company they value their customers.

Works great for small bedroom. While dehumidifier is running its very quite. We have machine set to auto shut off , so I can empty when it’s full . Great for the value for the money. No know leakage as long as the auto shutoff is on. Ease to clean without any smells.

My Vellgoo dehumidifier arrived very quickly and was packaged very professionally. The unit is more compact than my previous unit, and I like that this one is Energy Star certified. My first unit failed to dehumidify, and technical support was incredibly responsive, usually replying to my emails in a few hours. After a lot of troubleshooting on their part, they sent another new unit to me, which is working perfectly. The unit is quiet and produces a large amount of water very quickly. You really need to have a way to plumb the unit to a drain, or you will be emptying the reservoir a couple of times a day. It's quiet, and when set on Comfort Mode, it turns on and off to maintain a reasonable humidity. Given my experience with the product, the warranty, and customer support, I think Vellgoo would be hard to beat.

The outside wall of the water container should be clear.

This dehumidifier make very little noise: only 15 - 20 db, really collect water.

The Vellgoo 22-34 pint dehumidifier has made all the musty smells in my home disappear! I haven't received my electric bill since turning the dehumidifier on, but the peace of mind knowing that there's no pockets of damp that can turn to mold is worth its weight.

Never had a dehumidifier before and I'm so pleased with this one! Now I have less anxiety of getting black mold and going nuts like JK Rowling :D

Worked great until the fan started a high pitch sound. I returned and got another dehumidifier. See if this one fails or provides a good quiet service.

If I set this up as a direct-drain, I would be happy to give it 5 Stars, but that is not feasible in my basement

Consistent with other reviews, I find the small reservoir a bit annoying. It will fill n perhaps 3/4 of a day, so there are lots of trips to the basement. further, the design of the reservoir is a bit awkward -- the built i handle is at the back as you pull out the reservoir, so you need to pull it out pretty far before you can use it, and the handle fold into a recess, which is nice until you are draining it and water pours from the recess onto the floor. After a time or two, you learn.

Product worked great for over a year and then stopped. However reached out to their customer service and after explaining the situation, sending some pictures and short video, they sent me a new product within a week free of charge. New dehumidifier works great. Very happy with the end result.

I have had nothing but problems with dehumidifiers forever. They never last five years I’ve found. This is a quiet unit with a very small bucket so keep that in mind if you’re considering. I hooked the hose up and and it’s been running since. If you choose to go the bucket route, I was emptying twice a day. FYI

I was initially very pleased with this dehumidifier. It is attractive, compact and did such a good job that the collection well filled almost daily. BUT the unit stopped collecting water after about 4 months. I have heard from others that this may be an issue, but I have to compliment Vellgoo because when I contacted their customer service, they responded, asked some questions, had me send a photo, and then upon confirming my unit was defective, they quickly send me a new unit. I couldn't ask for more. If you buy one of these units - a small tip. There is a small lip at one end of the collection tray that lifts up and makes it easy to empty the water. I hadn't noticed it for a while because it blends into the white top. Also, be sure to do as instructed and let the unit sit for 24 hours before you use it when it arrives. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase and with Vellgoo's customer service.

I bought this dehumidifier for my basement and it did an excellent job drying out the air. But after about 18 months the unit wasn't working as it should have, it ran but didn't dry the air.

I emailed the tech support department and received a prompt response from Mina. Mina had me do some basic troubleshooting and we determined that the unit wasn't working as it should. Mina had a new unit shipped to me at no expense and it's working great!

I would've hoped that the original unit would've lasted longer but I''m very impressed with how Vellgoo stood behind their product and shipped a new unit to me quickly without charging me a cent.

I'm only giving it 4 starts because the original only lasted about 18 months but 5 stars for the customer support

Bought this in 23 and used pretty much non stop till it cooled down. The next summer it worked great till the fall when it went on the fritz. Customer service was great and sent replacement. We bought an extended warranty but not sure if that needed if within a year or two since customer service took care of our replacement. When working it makes a huge difference in comfort in our home.

I took one star away because the original unit failed after about 4 months. Initially it worked as promised, quietly and using about half the power of my 10-year-old dehumidifier. I was quite pleased until it stopped working. The unit was still drawing power as though dehumidifying and the fan was moving air as before, but it wasn't collecting water and it showed humidity readings well above the set point. Vellgoo Customer Service said that apparently the "electric control" had failed. Without delay they shipped a replacement unit under the warranty, and all is well again. So, top marks for performance and customer service, and some remaining questions about longevity and whether this model will be serviceable in the future.

The first unit stopped working but customer service replaced the unit and seems fine.

I had my dehumidifier for about 10 months before having problems with it. I contacted Customer Service and communicated back & forth with Mivva the representative. She was very professional and caring; after about trying several things to diagnose the problem, it still didn't work. Well, Mivva decided to send me a new unit, and it works perfectly. Thank you, Mivva, you were thorough and efficient!!

I was eventually disappointed with the dehumidifier when the control panel failed a week after the warranty expired. I limped along for a year with a partially functional device and tried all the Troubleshooting suggestions. Eventually the device gave out altogether. That is when I contacted the support people who were absolutely amazing after a few emails. Originally they offered to send me a new switch at no charge which was underwhelming but when it arrived I had a brand NEW dehumidifier which, just like the 1st one, works very well. I never thought an appliance manufacturer would stand behind their product in such an outstanding way. Three thumbs up!

I bought this dehumifier about 10 months ago and it ran great. Quiet, efficient, it truly stood out from other dehumidifiers. Then at 9 months old, it stopped drawing moisture from the air. I run 3 dehumidifiers in my basement and most units last anywhere from 3 to about 6 or 7 years. This one was by far the one that lasted the shortest amount of time. I thought, well it doesn't hurt to contact customer service to see if anything can be done. I was very surprised by the attention they gave to my issue. They gave me several things to check and once they were done troubleshooting, they determined there was something wrong with the unit. They promptly shipped me a replacement unit which is now up and running perfectly. I would have given 2 stars because the first one failed so quickly but I gave 4 stars instead due to the excellent customer service. Time will tell how long the replacement unit lasts. I am hoping it lasts a long time because I really do like these dehumidifiers.
